07-08

Bear Mountain

This is a photo of me at Bear Mountain in Big Bear, California. I was the third person on the lift that day. This moment was within what was probably the best week of 07 for me. I dabbled in snowboarding a few times but the last week of 07 was an opportunity to really get to know the sport. I ended up loving it by my second day. I did receive a nasty bruise but the experience far outweighed the pain. 07 seemed to be filled with promise at first, but promises can be broken. Hope can be washed away by failure and frustration. I finally learned to accept the unpredictability of life as mentioned in my previous entry. With snowboarding, I learned that what you do is only effected by you. It's just you and your board and you get what you put into it. That's what I loved about it, I didn't have to rely on anyone else to make my experience happen(Well other than the people running the lift). What that I learned that I should apply the same to my life. I mean I like people in general and have people in my life that I care about and love. At the end of the day I know that only I can make things happen for my self in this point of my life. So with this new year I plan to be more assertive with my goals and plans. Doesn't mean I'm going to be a asshole but I will have to come to terms that I can't make everyone I know happy while satisfying my own pursuits. Anyway I guess that's the idea for this year. Grab life by the balls and go with it. We'll see what happens. Until next time.

WTF a blog entry

Life: a dynamic landscape
I guess a lot has happened since my last entry. Hell this might be a legit B-itch log entry. I'm not sure what I want to say or should say. I think I could explain this photo and how I relate to it. Its me at the Grand Canyon this summer. It is significant because between me and the horizon that I'm looking towards, there is a slew of fuct up terrain. It has its peaks, valleys, plateaus. Throughout the year, this geological wonder endures extreme weather but also experiences a pleasant breeze once in a while. So how the fuck does this relate to life? It reminds me that life is unpredictable. There will be highs and lows beyond your control at times. I guess I look at this photo to understand that I have to take life as is regardless of how shitty or good it can be. Recently it hasn't been great. I've had a lot festering in my mind and I'm not sure how I should address most of it. People say I think too much and they're right on. I don't know why I do it but I do. Hence me writing this damn thing. I guess this is a outlet. Might as well make the most of the $8 a month I pay for this and my site. I don't know. Anyway, its a cool picture to look at if anything.

Texas vs. Ohio State

Big Ass Jumbotron - I think that was the most impressive thing about the game. One hell of a game though.

Rocking

Within-Here we are playing music of the Heavy Rock kind. Our lead guitar player broke his guitar strap on this song hence him on the floor. Notice how I proudly sport standard heavy metal apparel.

12:40pm

Sunday Morning - Another random shot with the D70. F'd around with the colors and got this. It appears I need to change my approach when editing photos. Those who see alot of my stuff know what I mean. Anyway, no symbolism here. Just looking apathetic and unsure of things as always.
